Dear community, today I am cleaning... many of us need to go through this same thing. It occurs to me that, once the app is structured, I start to clean up, simplify, improve expressions, refer to virtual columns created by the system, finally many things that accelerate the synchronization of the app and also improve the internal functioning. This is something that I have in a cave-like way but I do it, my way. What I would love is being able to discover the botella cells. Do you know if this feature exists in the performance monitor profile? How to use?
I would like to know which virtual column is causing the greatest impact, but I am not interested in all the historical versions of the app as well as the current one. Finally, I accept your ideas.
I normally create an app with a lot of dummy data so you can find out right away if you make a bad chioses with the structure of the formula. One good pattern is to check the Performance Analyzer like daily. It shows top 10 virtual columns to "fix". On the right side you will see the latest version. This sample is from a real app with 37 tables and lot of columns using SQL as a data source.
Ok, yes I saw it. In one of my versions I have created a virtual column that consumes a lot of resources, however apparently on the abscissa axis are the versions of the apps and, given that the most current version is the one on the right, I interpret that the average time Of the virtual columns to take into account to correct, it is the one in the columns on the right. Am I right?
Correct
Look, this is what the monitor returns. Note that there is a column that took me 73 seconds... something totally unheard of. Today, the same columns take no more than 3 seconds, clearly taking into account that they are the ones on the right of the most current versions.
You can unselect that big one from the labels so you are able to see it more easily.
