"How to" CSV Download question with additional query

In the Quote Generator sample, there is a CSV download action button shown against a “Selected Materials” view which a slice against a materials table.
What is the mechanism for achieving this? How do I get an action against one view to show up on another

The slice can have the actions from the original table.
