Introduction to Google Workspace Learning, Training, and Certification

For Workspace End Users, we have the “Getting Started with Google Workspace” Learning Path which includes eight no-cost on-demand courses on topics from Gmail to Google Sheets. Showcase what you've learned by earning a skill badge with one of these two quests: “Begin with Workspace: Essentials” and “Use Functions, Formulas, and Charts in Google Sheets."

For Workspace Administrators, we have the “Google Workspace Administrator” Learning Path which includes five no-cost on-demand courses. Earn a skill badge to share with your network and validate your skills with the “Configure your Workplace: Google Workspace for IT Admins” Quest. We also recommend that you go through the “Getting Started with Google Workspace Path” that end users complete. Lastly, consider getting certified as a Professional Google Workspace Administrator with the Professional Google Workspace Administrator Certification Exam.

For Citizen Developers, we have additional courses with AppSheet for you! There are three no-cost on-demand courses which walk you through building your first no-code app - Building No-Code Apps with AppSheet: Foundations, Implementation and Automation. Showcase what you've learned by earning a skill badge with the “Building No-Code Appsheet Apps” Quest.

• All workspace end user courses and quests are available in Japanese and Spanish. 
• All workspace admin courses and quests are available in Japanese only.

@KarisaE  Are these for free or do I need to enroll in any sort of trial? When starting one of the labs is asking for credits and to sign in to a trial.

Hi @DignaRivas , all of the end user and admin courses are free as well as the end user labs. However, the admin labs have a cost of $1/lab.

Hi @DignaRivas , I just updated my comment above regarding the labs. While the end user and admin courses are free, as well as the end user labs, the admin labs have a cost of $1/lab. That might have been what you were running into. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Is there any way for Workspace admins to see if employees have completed any of these on-demand courses? I suspect only a handful of staff would actually take the time to watch the video and complete the quizzes.

Hi @jackd , great question! There is not a way for Workspace Admins to track employee completion. However, employees can share their completion badge when they finish a course.

Hi @gastonMM and @jackd ! Upon further research, it looks like this already may be possible. There is an Admin Portal available through the Google Cloud Skills Boost where you can track employee completion of courses. The admin of Google Cloud Skills Boost at your organization will have access to this. However, the Workspace Admin is not necessarily the same person as the Google Cloud Skills Boost Admin at your organization. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!

Thank you all for your patience! I have confirmed that reporting for Workspace Admins is currently not on the roadmap for Google Cloud Skillsboost (where the Workspace Trainings live). My apologies for the confusion. The best work-around is having end users share their completion badges when they complete courses (eg upload to a Google Drive Folder). Thank you for your interest in Workspace trainings and courses!
