Besides coding, what skill do you wish every developer could learn at a tech conference? 🤔
Google Cloud Next opening keynoteTo quote Sundar, we’re using AI to build products that are “radically more helpful.” Whether you’re a developer creating the next great app, an architect building and managing infrastructure, an end user collaborating on content with your colleagues, or a data scientist plumbing the depths of your business data, here are just a few of the new ways that Google AI can help you do your job better:
Google Vids , your AI-powered video, writing, production, and editing assistant, all in one. Sitting alongside other productivity tools like Docs, Sheets, and Slides, Vids can help anyone become a great storyteller at work.
Cloud Run application canvas - Generate, modify and deploy AI applications in Cloud Run, with integrations to Vertex AI so you can consume generative APIs from Cloud Run services in just a few clicks.
Enhancements across our AI Hypercomputer architecture, including the general availability of Cloud TPU v5p, and A3 Mega VMs powered by NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs; storage portfolio optimizations including Hyperdisk ML; and open software advancements including JetStream and JAX and PyTorch/XLA releases.

I would suggest peoples skill because sincerely many lack these set of skills
networking with the professionals , interact with them learn about trending technology and how we can contribute in it.
Architecture and working of resources used by coder/project to understand how the work is planned and code is used. Technical experience like in IT infrastructures and Security.
A complex application that requires problem solving skills

Time management and prioritization and effective communication
Beside coding every developer should have:
Many people have the same skills. It's a great opportunity to share facts and use products/services more effectively.
I'm really pumped about the velocity of development of tools and services around LLMs (especially contribution of google), but no one is working towards a standard/comparable benchmarks, aside from that there's almost no improvement of dataset quality
Aside from coding, I think every developer should learn effective communication skills at a tech conference. Being able to clearly share ideas, listen to others, and work well in teams is super important. Good communication helps when talking with clients or explaining technical stuff to people who might not understand it. It makes collaboration smoother and can really improve project results!
Developers often need to explain their work to colleagues, clients, or stakeholders who may not have a technical background. Being able to distill complex ideas into clear, understandable terms is essential for collaboration.
Exciting news! Looking forward to seeing the innovations and updates coming from Google Cloud Next '24!
Besides coding, effective communication is a skill every developer should learn at a tech conference! Being able to convey complex ideas simply and clearly is essential for collaboration, mentorship, and problem-solving across teams. Whether sharing knowledge in presentations, debugging issues with teammates, or understanding clients' needs, communication can bridge gaps and amplify impact.
As a developer, I believe that alongside coding, every developer should learn effective communication skills. Being able to clearly articulate ideas, collaborate with team members, and engage with stakeholders is crucial in our field. Tech conferences are a great opportunity to practice and enhance these skills through networking and discussions.
I'm particularly excited about the Google Cloud Next announcements, especially the AI-powered tools like Google Vids! These innovations not only streamline our workflows but also empower us to tell compelling stories through our projects. Looking forward to exploring how these tools can enhance our work!
