Connecting Cloud workstations

Hi there,

I have two cloud workstations which are created from same configuration. Now Lets say I want to connect to a port of workstation1 from workstation2. Is this possible? How can i do that?
Is this possible if the two workstations are form different configuration?
Thanks

Hi @avinashkz,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

Yes, it is possible to connect to a port on one Google Cloud workstation from another.

To do this, you will need to ensure that the firewall rules for the workstations allow for incoming connections on the desired port. You can do this by creating a firewall rule that allows for incoming traffic on the specific port.

You will also need to obtain the external IP address of the workstation you want to connect to and use that IP address along with the port number when connecting from the other workstation.

Regarding different configuration, as long as the firewall rules and IP addresses are configured correctly, it should not matter if the two workstations have different configurations.

Thank you

I did setup the firewall for both ingress and egress by giving the private ip ranges of the compute engines(belonging to workstations). Still unable to make the connection
Could you please help me with that?
