Custom Images patches through VM manager

Can we use VM manager to patch any custom/golden images for any VM template . if yes how to do it.

I am aware that basic distribution like ubuntu , Redhat ,windows it can patch . will it be able to patch custom images also?

If your custom image uses VM manager supported OS images and has Osconfig agent installed and running then yes , this should work as intended. 

For any other OS versions, VM manager would not work.
