Hybrid VPN traffic issues,

We have a handful of GCP compute Windows servers in US Central. We then have VPN from GCP to connect to client sites firewall and they have SMB shares mapped onto their local machine from the GCP Windows servers

Since mid morning, today Monday this has broke for ALL clients, all separate projects. Ping also isn't working. We've reset VPN tunnels to no avail. There hasn't been any firewall rule changes. We normally can ping from the client side to the windows servers, that stopped this am as well.

Of note, printing from the GCP windows server across the VPN to printers onsite does work, but nothing else. The only common denominator is GCP VPN, we have different firewalls at different clients.

Nothing abnormal - tunnel's establishing, etc just fine.

We ended up deleting and re-creating all the tunnels and it started working again. Some of those tunnels have been working fine for 5 years+, super stange.

Hello @aneclouds ,

Sorry to hear about this problem! If you haven't already done so, please see the troubleshooting guidance at https://cloud.google.com/network-connectivity/docs/vpn/support/troubleshooting.

I'm not a VPN expert. But just so other experts in this forum can help troubleshoot the issue, could you share what you see in the VPN logs?
