I am new to Google Arcade. I joined Google Arcade games to achieve the Champion milestone. When I logged in, I was also joined to the Google Developer Program. How does this affect my arcade games? I have to request credits from community to complete labs also Are there any limitations with join Google Developer Program? Or do I have to remove myself from the Google Developer Program?
It's not gonna be a problem. You can participate in other Google programs as well.
Hello @madushaka
There are no limitations in any case if you join the Google Developers Program. Signing up for Google Cloud Skills Boost (GCSB) actually connects you to the broader Google Developers ecosystem. GCSB can be said as a part of it. It'll have no negative effect, and no need of removing yourself, you might need it later on (who knows?). Hence, don't worry!
As for requesting credits, subscribe to the Arcade to get Arcade Insider mails, it sometimes contain 'coupon code' giving you 100 credits for free, or even more. Keep an eye out for them!
Also, joining the Google Cloud Innovators Program (another community like the GDG) will provide you 35 credits per month, not too much, but not too less either. (Remember that accumulating lot of credits is not good either, since they expire after 6 months. One thing you can do is to consider giving extra credits away here.)
As for the Arcade games for the swags and all (the milestones you mentioned), all of the labs inside the games are free to perform, so credits should not be a big deal. All the best for your future endeavors as you work towards the champions milestone!
