Coming August 24th: 'Queue the Questions' AMA Event on VM Families

After hosting our very first 'Queue the Questions' about technical onboarding earlier this month, we are going to be hosting another exciting AMA event. This time, Outbound Product Managers @Moazzam  and @chelsie and Product Manager @SubraC are going to answer your questions related to VM Families.Queue the Questions - VM Families.png

The event will take place on August 24th, 2021, from 11 AM - 12 PM PT.

Google Cloud Compute Engine offers a wide spectrum of Virtual Machines (VMs) from multiple general purpose VMs to workload optimized VM families. We also recently announced a new addition to our general purpose family, Tau, that is optimized for scale-out workloads enabling leadership price-performance compared to other leading cloud options.

Join this AMA to ask any questions you may have about Google Compute Engine Virtual Machine families.

Here are the steps for joining again:

  1. If you don't have a Google Cloud Community account, yet, register for an account.
  2. On August 24th at 11 AM PT, navigate to Google Cloud News & Announcements (right here, where you are reading this post).
  3. Shortly before the event, you will see a pinned a post for the event at the top of the board.
  4. Don't be alarmed if you cannot post, right away. Replies will be locked before 11 AM PT and after 12 PM PT. - So make sure to get your questions posted on time!
  5. Open the thread and post your questions in the comments. The team will answer questions as they come in.
  6. Once the event is over, the thread will be locked, which means that no new questions can be posted. However, anyone will still be able to see the questions and answers from the event.

Some things to keep in mind:

  1. The Community Guidelines still apply, so keep your comments polite.
  2. Clear and detailed questions are more likely to receive a useful response, so try to be specific in what you are asking.
  3. While the team will make an effort to answer all questions, time constraints and company policies may prevent some questions from being answered. Questions that are out of scope: Onboarding troubleshooting questions and support escalations

Pretty simple, right?
