How to create and join to the Chronicle Free Edition

Has anyone figured out how to use Chronicle SOAR free edition? I have an account and it shows my profile and then when I use my credentials to login to the SOAR site, it says "invalid email and password, Where is says "Don't haev a user yet? Get here", I've already done that as well"

Hi @CitrenoDan , there are separate credentials for the SecOps community forum and the SOAR free edition. In order to get access to the free edition you need to fill in the form for Chronicle SOAR free edition .

Hi, this doesn't work and puts you in an endless loop.

That link doesn't resolve and times out. However, the link you're probably wanting is this one:https://chronicle.security/soar-free-edition/. This is the link I already followed and filled out to make this account. When I click "sign-in" it just takes me to the secops community page. If I try to sign up again it just takes me back to the same page without the form and still says "sign-in". The flow to sign-up for SOAR Free Edition is broken, it's been mentioned in the Slack a couple of times.

Please help

Thanks!

I had the same issue but waited a couple of days after fillig the form and gor invitation. I suppose there is a queue for Access Requests maybe.

Hey Donald,

Thanks for the help here. I originally filled this form out about a week ago and have probably done it now like 5 times (unwittingly). I still cant get access.

Did you receive an email with credentials to SOAR or something after some time?

Thanks!

Hi @CitrenoDan apologies for the inconvenience, there was a technical issue with your request that we have solved and you should have now received an invitation to the community edition via email. Please contact me if you have any other questions.

Hi @shakedtal ,

I received the email. The link sends me to the SOAR screen and says "Invalid Email or Password". If I try to login with my credentials I use for Google (dan@citreno.com with my password) it says "User account is disabled. Please contact your system administrator".

Appreciate any help in getting this resolved!

Dan

@CitrenoDan If you fill out the form thats presented and wait a couple hours you should get an invitation.

Hi @CitrenoDan thank you for updating, we have resent you the link - you should have received it via email. The link should take you to a screen to set your password. Please let me know if it works, thanks.

I have the same issue here can you please help me as well

Thanks

Same issue for me

SOAR free edition page now redirects to the Google SecOps page. I think free edition is no longer available like SIEM. When contacting sales team at Google, they would assess the use case and take it from there. It is disappointing for self learnings but that's the current scenario.

I agree, I would like to learn and experience the platform so that I could potentially recommend it to my company to replace Splunk,  and other companies and affiliates that I am in an advisory role.
