On a Mac, take advantage of the "web app" feature with AppSheet

With the Sonoma, you can easily make any web page into an app.  I recently found out about this little feature which strikes me as perfect for AppSheet apps that you use on your Mac.  It allows you to make each of your AppSheet apps function as independent apps.  So, for example, changing the character size on an AppSheet app doesn't affect that character size on your Safari browser as a whole or on any other AppSheet app.  Also the top bar is no longer cluttered with stuff like an address bar, tabs, etc.  And, you can use the Mac's native features to switch between you AppSheet app and other apps.  By the way, I use QuickSilver on my Mac to call apps up and that works with this too!

P.S. I recommend that, after you make a web app for your AppSheet app, you go to settings and turn off "Show navigation controls" because your app has all of the navigation controls you need.  Doing so gives you a tiny bit more real estate for your app.  Also, if you turn off "Show color in title bar" you will be able to see the difference between the bar at the top that you can grab to drag your app to another par of the screen and the main area for your app, which you can't grab.

This is also possible in a PC.

If you are using chrome, open your app, then go to Chrome's menu. Save and Share>Create Shortcut>Name the App as how you want it appear in your Start menu, then MAKE SURE you tick "Open as window".

If you are using Edge, open your app, then go to Edge's menu, Apps>Install this site as an app.

In both browsers, once the app opens in a separate window without the URL and navigation bars, right click on the app in the task bar, then Pin to Start.  You can also PIN to Taskbar if you wish.

Some change, either on the Apple side or the AppSheet side, has made it impossible to add images via Safari's web app feature.  The problem is that the little popup window that allows one to select the image to add to the card doesn't appear.  If I open the same app in a normal window in Safari it works fine.  When I get some time, I may open a ticket to ask someone at AppSheet to check into this.

On my Mac (14.7.1) this issue is now resolved.
