Google Space - prevent task updates from creating spam in the chatbox

Hi,

Within my company we are using Google Spaces actively for projects and workgroups, including the task functionality.

Situation: When a new task is created, a new thread in the Space chatbox is created and shown in the chatbox of all members of the Space. When a task is marked completed, this is also reported in the chatbox. 

Issue: Due to all these updated in the chatbox, members of the Space miss other chat messages with relevant information. The task functionality basically creates a lot of spam, which makes the chat functionality less suitable for communication within the team.

My request: Is there a way to prevent new entries into the space chatbox as a result of new actions or updates on actions?
