I'm in Google Workspace Admin Password Lockout Hell

My sister and I purchased a Google Domain over a year ago and set up an email address to use for business purposes. Long story short, we haven't used it since then. Now that we are ready to use it, we cannot remember the password for the Google admin workspace and did not set up the admin recovery option that since then has been made available for superusers. We've tried all the recovery methods with the DNS info they sent us and emailed them answers to their security questions. But still Google says to contact Customer Support. I've been on hold (literally) for days.

I don't know if we did the DNS instructions incorrectly or if it matters that our domain is set up to point to a website managed by Wordpress. I'm just lost and trying to regain access to our admin workspace. ๐Ÿ˜ซ

Hello!

I recommend you to try through this link: https://toolbox.googleapps.com/apps/recovery/domain_in_use?visit_id=637961911452255839-3785092726&rd...

By the forms is really slow to recover.

Hope it helps.

We had an old domain account when it was free. The original user is dead and our current IT cannot log in because MFA goes to a mobile we no longer have. How can we sort this out? I think we need to talk to google but how?

@Kez sorry to hear about the death of your admin.  Take a look at https://support.google.com/a/answer/33561?hl=en and the Section, "If you're a user and can't contact your administrator."  That should get you on the right path! -KAM
