As Google will limit the total drive space to 100 TB of pooled space come July 2022. Would appreciate if developers can provide a function that allows Admin to set a limit to each user to control usage of the Google Drive and distribute the 100 TB usage.
It is very challenging to manage the existing 3000 over users to use the 100 TB without such feature, especially when video teaching is very common post Covid.

Hi @Sykoh :
A couple of ideas:
1) See https://support.google.com/a/answer/10403871 for all the details of what Google has announced.
2) See https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/custom/page/page-id/Workspace-Roadmap-FAQ for how to get access to the NDAed roadmaps, to get a preview of what they're planning for the future (you can nominate yourself).
3) Start a conversation with your Google Rep/CSM.
Hope that helps,

Hi!
Where did you get this pool limitation info?
I couldn't find anywhere.
Found it: https://support.google.com/a/answer/10431555?hl=en-us
Thank God it's in Education licences. I almost had a heart attack.
About the limitation in Google Drive, currently, there's no way to set limits.
All the limits are defined by the licenses you use.
Sorry for the scare Carlos. I understand that there is no way to set the limits.
Do you think the developers will see the post here and perhaps work on something to help? Sorry, asking silly questions as this is my first day to this community.
At the moment it is almost impossible for me to manage the usage of pooled space if I do not have such functions.
Sorry i can't confirm that.
If there's an API entry for that it sure can be done.
But i don't think it has.

Hi!
In the link that @icrew post (https://support.google.com/a/answer/10403871 ) it says "Pooled storage means you allocate storage based on the needs of your users. When it takes effect, you can use your Google Admin console to assign different limits for different groups of users.".
And in the "Storage Guide for Admins" it says "Additional admin tooling coming later this year. Far in advance of the policy going into effect, we will provide you with additional administrator tools that make it simple to manage storage across your domain and identify and mitigate unwanted scenarios."
Do you know if those tools have been developed or if they will be?
Thanks,
Facundo Bisso
Hi @fbisso :
You might want to request access to the NDAed Google Workspace Roadmaps to learn more about what's coming and when. See https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/custom/page/page-id/Workspace-Roadmap-FAQ -- you can nominate yourself for access.
Hope that helps,
Ian
Thanks a lot Ian.
I nominated myself.
When they accept my request i will search there.
Hi again @icrew
I nominated myself a month ago and i had not answer.
Do you know if i can do any more?
Thanks
@Willie_Turney can you help?
Thanks @icrew !
@Willie_Turneyok, i will wait for the news!
I also invited myself but have heard nothing. Could you send me the next steps too please? Thanks
I agree, as an admin in a school, this is an essential requirement.
Really happy now this is possible!
