Need help finding all my files in my Google docs. I was deleting photos in my Google Photos to make space and somehow all my Google Docs files disappeared. It is nowhere to be found to restore even after typing keywords. I would appreciate anyone's thoughts please. Thanks
@willgo4value OK some advice and not to patronize:
- You might be upset because of the issue. Take a breather and ask someone else to look too for a second pair of eyes on the problem if you are too close to the issue.
- make sure you are on drive.google.com and not photos.google.com
- check your drive.google.com trash at https://drive.google.com/drive/trash
- Nothing is permanently gone until 30 days or you purge the trash so you should be ok if this was yesterday and an accidental deletion

Do you happen to have the link to any of the files stored anywhere - perhaps in a Google Drive comment notification in your Gmail?
If so, try to open one of the files in question by clicking the link, and if you're able to access it, hit the folder at the top of the Google Docs interface (to the right of the file name) to see it's location.
There is an option to restore deleted files in the admin console https://support.google.com/a/answer/6052340?product_name=UnuFlow&hl=en&visit_id=638113803347502611-4...
As for how they were deleted, you could check the drive log events. It may not provide an answer it may just say event: file deleted and actor you.
Actions in photos should have no impact on drive files. I would try the standard log out, clear your cache and browsing data. Try from incognito mode and try from a different machine and/or mobile. If you're not seeing the files anywhere open a support ticket or a restore them. Support may have insights into what deleted the files, it may be a marketplace app or chrome extension that has access to drive.
