How do we share a Gemini Gem to other users in our Workspace?

Waiting for this feature as well. This is critical so a team inside a company can share knowledge. The same way there are infinite ways to grant permissions on documents this should be possible with a custom gem

Is there a way to add urgency to this feature request? I was very excited when my university added Gemini to our Workplace suite and discovered Gems - until I realized no one else can use a Gem I create. That makes Gems inadequate for my GPT needs. I'll need to go with other options unless sharing becomes available.

Im a stroke survivor and disabled veteran, having served in multiple deployments icluding a reactivation after the events of 9/11. I have begun using AI to offer support to my fellow stroke survivors. We currently have a Facebook group engaging in a Gem I wrote.  Very small early run group of 27. I'd love to offer a Gem share option right now I'm limited to copy and paste code or prompt. Great job. Thank you. This is good work you are doing. Amazing benefits for the disabled. 👏 keep going!

I am trying to evangelize Gemini adoption and this makes it tough when folks are used to OAI Custom GPTs.

Do you have any idea where on the roadmap it is?

The workaround is regrettable.  I have to maintain a page somewhere that says "Hello Colleague, dump this prompt and this knowledge into your own Gem" which is unfortunate because then there are many copies of the gem which become outdated.

We would also need this feature to fully utilize Gemini in our workspace. Otherwise it seems like the widespread rollout of Gemini and missing this core functionality would be a fairly significant adoption blocker.

I understand this community is dedicated to Google Workspace; however, Google Gems should eventually (hopefully in the near future) be sharable with anyone. You know what's exciting about sharing a unique Gem you created that functions just as you'd like it, and seeing your coworker or friend react? Everything (although this hasn't been achievable yet, I am imagining it will be very exciting). You know what's exciting about sharing the prompt you created and having that coworker or friend copy and paste it into their own custom gem, thus recreating your gem on their account? Nothing.

ChatGPT already has this functionality. The inability to share Gems within our organization is hampering our adoption of Gemini.

Sharing Gemini Gems is targeted for Q4 as per the Google roadmap. Let's hope they deliver it on time. Sharing gems would take this to the next level. A lot of my co-workers are looking forward to this feature

Our current work around for this is a google doc with tabs with gemini gems for users to copy and then share back other ideas.  Not ideal by any means, but better than emailing them around.

Until Gems can be shared within a workspace, their adoption (and therefore that of Gemini) will fall behind.  This space is too competitive to not prioritize features like this, especially if you competitors already do so.

It is pretty impossible to suggest people to use gemini because of this lack of feature compared to ChatGPT
