having a little trouble with a formatting rule and want to confirm if this is even possible before i pull my hair out trying. either this is not possible currently or i am approaching it wrong.
I want to have a certain color icon appear next to a certain field if certain criteria is met. Is it possible to color the icon but not the text? I see the highlight color and text color options but in this case i simply want to add the chosen icon to the line and color it independently of the other elements, if that makes sense.
for example, i have existing format rules that have the text colored blue, can i add a yellow smiliey face icon inline?

All icons in the same column can only be a single color. The icon color can be different than the text color.
in my testing, it seems that having multiple format rules causes issues in that all icons end up taking on the same color. I hope one of you proves me wrong.

thanks for the confirmation.
Hey Marc - I'm wondering if allowing icons to be formatted in different colors for the same column has been explored further. I imagine it would be super helpful in many use cases, including mine.
@ttryon Hi, This was discussed somewhere in another topic somewhere but I can't remember where.
On desktop the different colours display on different icons but not on mobile, the primary leading icons colour will prevail...
