Images linked to an onboarding view type do not update/refresh when the source file is updated OR deleted.
I've set up an onboarding view, pretty simple and initially worked as expected. When I update the TEXT elements, they are updated on the next synch. When I replace the source image file OR delete the source image file, the existing/original images remain.
I have tried all I can think of - (re)synching the data in Appsheet; cleared browser cache; refreshed the browser page (CMD+R) etc. Nothing has any affect. What I find most unusual is that even after flushing the cache the problem still persists... this may be suggests that the images are cached online somewhere that I can't affect.
Any ideas? Am I missing something?
1: snapshot of data source showing correctly configured image URL
2: table configuration details, showing alignment with datasource
3: screenshot showing the target directory /appsheet/.../onboarding_images AFTER deleting the image files
4: screenshot of the editor preview showing the persistent / not refreshed images is still visible... even after synch / refresh / flush etc.

If you update the image in your Drive using exactly the same image file name, the behavior would be as you described and clearing your default browser's cache won't help. You need to change the file name with the image and change the file/path name in your gSheet.
Why the image still shows if you have deleted the image from your Drive folder, is a mystery. It should show the image as a broken reference (yellow triangle).

A mystery indeed!
Renaming worked a treat - thank you.
One reason could be the Delta Sync option if it's ON. You can find it from Editor > Settings > Performance
Yeap, that could be one reason as well.
This is clearly a server caching issue and an Google/AppSheet bug. Although renaming is a work around for the issue, it does not resolve it nor is it acceptable. Hopefully Google/AppSheet will address this one way or another. I am currently waiting to see how long it takes for the cache to clear and update. I'm at 12 hours plus and counting. I will update this post when the image updates.
So weird I have the exact same problem. The pictures do not update while the pictures in drive are different. Also, it does not show as a broken image if I delete the images.. I'm wondering how long it takes before the update occurs. I read something about cashing..
