send and email from gmail with the action: compose and email

Hello, 

Can anyone please tell me if it is posible to send and email from gmail when I click the automatic action compose an email? 

I have an email track extension for gmail but it only works if I send email directly from gmail.

That action just opens up the local default email app on your pc/device. If you have the local app set up to use you gmail, then it'll work.

With Iphone 13 Pro - even with GMAIL as default email app, I'm still prompted to "Restore Mail" from App Store. 

Sending an email from w/in the app should be one of the easiest actions/automations to setup. However, I'm stuck.

What is "restore mail"? Sounds like the mail app on your phone is missing and it's trying to get you to reinstall ("restore") it.

I am looking for the same thing.  I need email to be sent from our organisation gmail service, not whatever default mail program the user has set.

Google provide the following solution to open a new email in Gmail:

I am going to explore this approach to see if a) an Appsheet "External: go to a website" action could trigger the gmail url; b) working out if it's possible to embed body text in the url; c) constructing dynamic text within Appsheet and assign it to the URL call in the action.

Exactly. Your response triggered me to reinstall it. This solved my issue. Now I click the email button and my action is setup. Just strange to me that it didn't allow me to send direct from GMAIL.
