I would love to see AppSheet apps more integrated into the Gmail "Workspace" experience. An idea would be to add another option on the left panel of gmail for "Apps". This would expand a tray (the when you click on "Chat" which shows you all the apps you have access to. Then clicking on the app would open it in the main window (right there in gmail); again similar to the "Chat" experience in Gmail.
My reasoning / use case is accessibility. Things like AppSheet and Looker studio are crucial tools that get used daily in my domain environment, but they are disjointed from the daily work experience of my organization; who is primarily in Gmail and Drive. Many of our AppSheet apps are primarily used in Desktop mode, so on desktop this would be a huge experience upgrade to improve accessibility for the users. (On mobile it could simply act as a shortcut to the mobile version of the app.).
I know a solution is an app of apps (which I've done), but it still requires users to favorite the link to the app, or put it on their desktop, etc. It would just be nice for everything to have a more integrated experience in our daily working environment (gmail), where users can quickly get to what they need, organize, and pin or favorite their most frequent apps.
This could also tie in to other feature requests like push notifications on desktop. Users can see a little notification (again similar to chat) and developers can utilize that method of notification as a feature in their bots.
Edit: If anyone is interested in this, I also made a feature request in the Workspace community Here. If you're not already a member you might have to request access to the Workspace Feature Request section
