Enhancement AppSheet types respect multi-color formatting icons

Previously, across all types, AppSheet would only allow a single color to apply to all icons rendered by format rules. Now, we are moving towards supporting color granularity as defined within each formatting rule so each icon can have its own color.

With this change, for desktop UI (preview) only all types will now respect individually colored icons.

Probably, I will not use this new features....

"Favourite" should be given to "App user" instead of App Craetor.

IF we as App creators wish to add to add to the favourite, then we can do so with the currently available functionalities.

Favourite should be decided by the end / app users, so not sure why Google is introducing this one, which is not less useful....

Technically and practically speaking, such option to add to favourite should be given to each app users, instead of app owners....

I m puzzled what sort of the new values Google wish to push by adding this so called new featuer..

FWIW, I envision favoriting a bunch of interrelated actions or views while I access them serially in the editor to change configurations in the the course of iteratively developing a new feature. It's like a manual equivalent of a "Recent" list.

@dbaum

Thank you for your clarity.  I probably mis-understood this new feature when I read through the announcement. Yes you should be right, this is addional feature in terms of app editor, not visible on the surface of the app and its users eyes.

Hi @dbaum @Koichi_Tsuji

You are correct that this is a feature for app creators. We tackled this work based on @Rifad 's feedback when we rolled out the new navigation. He explained some aspects of the new layout made working on a group of actions/views/tables together challenging. The goal here was to let you decide what you want to focus on so that you don't need to click and scroll as much.

This is great improvement. This feature filled the gap between the difficulty in working on multiple tabs of action/views from old and new editor. Thanks @Arthur_Rallu for your efforts on this.

I wasn’t using new editor till now. I will be starting soon to go ahead and use the new editor from now on. Would really love to see more useful improvements like this in future.

Actually few people like @Arthur_Rallu is reason I have hopes in appsheet after Google acquisition. Thanks for listening to our voice.

Thank you for the kind words Rifad.

Note that a lot of the credit goes to our UX and engineering. @benhare in particular made sure it happened.

Thanks again @Arthur_Rallu and @benhare. Love the fact that all favourites stack up one above the other. Soo much easier to work on.

Additionally, one more suggestion here. Look at the pictures below. Its bit difficult to differentiate two actions without a divider here.

It will be much easier to work on actions if it has a division like below for two different actions/ux etc..

@Rifad I guess I thought that having the next header was divider enough, but I guess it can become a little tricky to tell if it's part of the "Documentation" section above or not. I don't think I'd want to go the route of the old editor and put them all in boxes, but instead have some kind of dividing line above the title. Let me ask our UX designer their opinion.
