Hello again friends, i have several child tables that reproduce this behavior:
It happens when i add an item to a child table directly from the detail view of a parent table, it looks like it saves the rows without the parent ref:
Contratista_Id | Obra_ref | Nombre | Rubro | Nombre+Rubro | RUC | Telefono |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
9fc7f6cc | someone | someone () |
Which is quite bamboozling to me, since i can see it loads the reference on the form the moment i click the action that adds a new item, any ideas for fixing this?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Well, i just realized i had the โEditableโ box unchecked for the column containing the reference in the child tableโฆ
It works nowโฆ
I am clevernโt, thanks for the help guys @Steve @MultiTech_Visions
I have done quite a lot of testing, and after i click on the new child row i just added from a parent table, i can see the new entry has a parent ref saved, but as soon as it syncs it disappears from the table, and lands in the spreadsheet without a parent ref.
Two questions:
Hey Matt! thanks for replying, as for the answers to your questions:
Okay, thatโs helpful.
Is there anything funny with the ref column on the child table? Something weird with the Edit If maybe?
Or is a workflow involved?

Thatโs bitten me before, too.
Itโs usually something strange like this - one off, never do it, strange why you did it this time but I did it and itโs messing things up type of thing.
