Child rows are created without parent ref when added from parent table

Hello again friends, i have several child tables that reproduce this behavior:

It happens when i add an item to a child table directly from the detail view of a parent table, it looks like it saves the rows without the parent ref:

Contratista_Id	Obra_ref	Nombre	Rubro	Nombre+Rubro	RUC	Telefono
9fc7f6cc		someone		someone ()

Which is quite bamboozling to me, since i can see it loads the reference on the form the moment i click the action that adds a new item, any ideas for fixing this?
